
Chicken Tikka Masala
Description
A rich and creamy tomato-based curry featuring tender marinated chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala is one of the most beloved dishes in Indian cuisine. It's perfect with basmati rice or warm naan bread.

Ingredients
- 500 g Boneless chicken thighs (cubed)
- 200 g Yogurt (for marinade)
- 1 tbsp Lemon juice
- 1 tbsp Ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tbsp Turmeric
- 1 tbsp Garam masala
- 1 tbsp Ground cumin
- 1 tbsp Paprika
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 Onion (chopped)
- 2 Tomatoes (chopped)
- 2 tbsp Tomato paste
- 100 ml Heavy cream
- to taste Salt
- Handful Fresh coriander
Instructions
- Mix yogurt, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, garam masala, cumin, paprika, and salt in a bowl. Add chicken and marinate for at least 30 minutes (preferably 2–4 hours).
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a skillet. Sear the marinated chicken on medium heat until cooked through and slightly charred. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add another tbsp of oil. Sauté chopped onions until golden. Add tomatoes and cook until soft. Stir in tomato paste and cook for 2–3 minutes.
- For a smoother consistency, blend the sauce and return it to the pan.
- Add the cooked chicken to the sauce, pour in heavy cream, and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with rice or naan.
