
Classic Cheeseburger
Description
The Classic American Cheeseburger is a juicy beef patty grilled to perfection, topped with melted cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and your favorite condiments, all tucked inside a toasted bun. It’s the ultimate comfort food.
Equipment
- Grill or stovetop skillet
- Spatula
- Mixing bowl
- Knife and cutting board
- Plate and foil (for resting burgers)
Ingredients
- 500 g Ground beef (80/20)
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1/2 tbsp Black pepper
- 4 slices Cheddar cheese
- 4 Burger buns
- 4 leaves Lettuce
- 1 Tomato (sliced)
- 1 Red onion (sliced)
- to taste Ketchup, mustard, mayo
- Pickles, bacon, avocado
Instructions
- Divide ground beef into 4 equal portions and form into patties. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 3–4 minutes per side (medium), adding cheese on top during the last minute to melt.
- Lightly toast burger buns on the grill or in a pan until golden.
- Place lettuce, tomato, and onion on the bottom bun. Top with the cheeseburger patty. Add condiments and top bun.
- Serve hot with fries, coleslaw, or chips.
