
Greek Chicken Gyros
Description
Greek Chicken Gyros are a Mediterranean street food favorite. Marinated grilled chicken wrapped in warm pita bread with fresh veggies and creamy tzatziki sauce—healthy, flavorful, and perfect for lunch or dinner.

- Grill pan or skillet

- Grater (for cucumber)
Ingredients
- 500 g Chicken thighs (boneless, skinless)
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 tbsp Lemon juice
- 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp Dried oregano
- 1 tbsp Ground cumin
- 1 tbsp Paprika
- to taste Salt and pepper
- 4 Pita breads
- 1 Tomato (sliced)
- 1/2 Red onion (thinly sliced)
- 1 cup Shredded lettuce
Instructions
- Combine olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Add chicken and marinate for at least 20 minutes.
- Mix grated cucumber, yogurt, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, dill, and salt in a bowl. Chill until ready to use.
- Grill or pan-fry the chicken on medium heat until fully cooked and charred. Slice into strips.
- Warm pita breads. Fill each with chicken, tomato, onion, lettuce, and a generous spoonful of tzatziki sauce.
- Fold and serve immediately. Optional: wrap in parchment for easy handling.
