
Paneer Tikka Masala
Description
Paneer Tikka Masala is a vegetarian North Indian dish made with marinated paneer cubes grilled and simmered in a creamy, spiced tomato-based gravy. It’s rich, flavorful, and perfect with naan or rice.

Ingredients
- 250 g Paneer (cubed)
- 1/2 cup Yogurt
- 1 tbsp Lemon juice
- 1 tbsp Garam masala
- 1 tbsp Chili powder
- 1/2 tbsp Turmeric
- 1 tbsp Cumin powder
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 Onion (chopped)
- 2 Tomatoes (chopped or pureed)
- 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp Ginger (grated)
- 1/4 cup Cream or cashew cream
- to taste Salt
- Cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, chili powder, turmeric, cumin, and salt. Add paneer cubes and marinate for at least 20 minutes.
- Thread paneer onto skewers or place on a grill pan. Cook on medium-high heat until slightly charred. Set aside.
- Heat oil in a pan. Sauté onion until golden. Add garlic and ginger; cook 1 minute. Add chopped tomatoes and cook down until soft (or use tomato puree).
- Blend the cooked tomato-onion mixture for a smooth sauce, then return to pan.
- Stir in cream, salt, and grilled paneer. Simmer for 5–7 minutes to meld flavors.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro. Serve hot with naan or basmati rice.
